I'm here, they have iPads, supposedly around 200 total (but it was the CLEAR guys who said that so who knows...) and about 16 people in line.
Tickets at 4:30.
Sales at 5.
Good luck.

Why don't you just split the audio with a Y adapter so that you don't have to switch it. It will just always be active. This to me seems like a cheaper and better solution.
Sounds like a good idea, it could be much cheaper.

I may be wrong, but doesn't iTunes convert WMA songs automatically? I'm working on switching over a friend and got him to use iTunes as a start and I think he said when he imported his WMA's it converted them...
Your right iTunes does convert unprotected WMA's. At least that's what it says here. (http://www.apple.com/itunes/import.html)
Edit: I just realized this is an old thread. iTunes probably didn't have that feature at the time. I need to start paying attention

Max (http://sbooth.org/Max/) is among the more popular free options. :) I really like it, although it's been a while since I used it. It supports FLAC and OGG, although I used it for other things...

well what do you think?
The game is great looking visually, but I personally don't care for flight games. The last game based around planes that I enjoyed was U.N. Squadron on the SNES. That game was awesome.

thanks for the feedback. I like the over exposure and most of it was intentional. but to each their own. :p
I would have recommended stopping up so that your whites weren't completely blown out and then color correcting as far as the first video goes.

Maybe the file itself is corrupted? I had a similar problem (although I have no need to preserve my BB). After repeated times, I deleted the files and d/l'ed them again and it worked.
Not sure if this is the solution but it's worth a try.

Cheers for the info. Is there any way to get itunes to downscale to 16 bit in order for me to load onto an iPod? I don't want to move down to 128 kbps but something inbetween.
I don't really understand your question...
You'll need to re-encode your content, then you can choose whatever bitrate you want if you choose to go lossy, otherwise there's always Apple Lossless. You can use Max for this.

Sorry let me clarify, I'm @ BB in SLC. There is just me here, well my chair and me. At 4PM they give you a ticket so you don't have to wait in line for the last hour. So stupid.

i think what cutyoursim is doing is quite legal.
My local vodafone charges 100euros (was 200euros last year) to unlock any iphone & get it registered on apple's servers.
It is not legal if they are doing it via illegitimate access to Apple's database/servers. That would be illegal.

I don't really think that Bill Gate's money is that big of a deal. If you consider the amount of influence he has had in terms of creating jobs and opportunities for other people you'd probably be happy to pay him the $40bn. Microsoft itself hires more than 100,000 people - never mind every other company that partners with or relies on Microsoft in some way. That in turn generates huge amounts of tax and prosperity. On top of that, it also happens that Bill Gates is very charitable. I suspect that a lot of wealthy people are.
This is why I would support the idea that the wealthy should be rewarded. If my CEO hadn't been allowed to become successful, I wouldn't have a job. The same applies for most people here.
I don't see how raising Bill Gates' personal income tax affects Microsoft as a company though.
At the small business level, where a single owner/operator's income does make decisions between taking a little more money or hiring someone to, hopefully, make even more money, this kind of decision does make sense.
But, once Microsoft made its first billion, you could tax Bill Gates 90 percent and it wouldn't have affected the number of employees working there because Gates' and Microsoft had become two fundamentally different entities financially.

A friend of mine wants to insert a small clip into a DVD movie. Now I'm trying to think of how I could easily do that in a day, and frankly I'm coming up short. So I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some advice.
So here's what I want to do in short:
Have a Movie on DVD.
Want to put a clip (friend is asking a girl to homecoming) in the middle of the movie.
Want to put the spliced movie back onto DVD.
My orignial idea was to use a camera with DV passthrough, record it onto computer, then use editing software to put the clip in and put it on DVD. But if anyone else has a better idea, that would be great.
Well you wont be able to put it on the original DVD... but if you have a SuperDrive, you can burn a new one.
I recomend DVDxDV. www.dvdxdv.com. You can extract the files from the DVD to your HD. Then you can import the files into iMovie and edit them... do w/e you want with them. Then iMovie sends it over to iDVD and you reburn the movie.
Understand???

I was in high school at the time. Some friends and I were sitting around a table, waiting for school to start, and another kid walked up and said "tell me you know what the %&@ is going on" and then proceeded to explain what had happened.

Most people do not seem to mind the DRM restrictions as long as they can easily move their files to the iPod. Just having the DRM and then copying manual songs to the iPod is not what most people do. They are used to the integration. So, unless he also build a iTunes equivalent with very similar functionality and has an integrated store, it is not going to pose a hread to Apple.
But then, they are going to sell DRM'ed songs from stores other than iTunes, probably fo rthe same price. What is the benefit to switch?
Unless.... he can make the subscription/rental model work with the iPod, which will have a small impact initially, but may have a larger impact long term.
