Count your calories « Elizabeth Short

Yesterday while at lunch with my mom we got on the topic of dieting and exercising…

We came to the conclusion that we both wanted/needed to lose weight and that if we kept each other accountable we would be more likely to succeed. I recommended that we try Weight Watchers, but after some research we both decided that we could use a free tool online to keep track of our calories (that is basically what Weight Watchers is). We decided to use Calorie Count.

I have experience with tracking calories, but after only one week I would usually give up. This time since I'm doing it with my mom I'm hoping to keep up with the counting until I reach my goal weight. I really shouldn't have a problem with this because Calorie Count offers an app too! I'm constantly connected to my phone, so you wouldn't think it would be that hard to enter a meal after I'm done eating, even when on the go. However, I will say, searching for the food does get a little annoying, especially when you can't find what you are looking for. At the end of the day it is worth it!

Whether you use Calorie Count or another system to track your calories, try and keep up with it, because counting your calories makes you more aware of what you are putting into your body.
