I would love to see an increase in the screen size on iMacs, but that doesn't seem likely without an overhaul to the entire enclosure.
Can the current imacs support a 24" Dell widescreen in dual monitor mode?

Color me skeptical.
The current case is pretty good. There's room for improvement � questionable assembly of internal components, and above all the switch to a removal bottom rather than a removable top plate meant a serious weakness around the Ethernet and Firewire 800 port. These could easily be fixed by using, say, Indigo thermal pads instead of glopping on paste, and on the outside of the case ditching the Ethernet and Firewire for slimmer alternatives that don't weaken the case �*namely a second Thunderbolt port and having three USB ports (3.0 of course) that could support Gigabit Ethernet dongles. And then you recast it in LiquidMetal, and enable customers to decide up front whether they wanted the second drive bay to be blade-SSD or optical, leaving the traditional drive in the first bay.
What you'd have then is the strongest, best designed full-featured laptop case in the business. It's not a major change, but a refinement that adds both strength and versatility to an already good design.
But I fear what Apple has in mind is basically an entire range of Macbook Air laptops. The Air is a fine computer, no doubt, but it's not the portable desktop I want and never can be without supporting two drives and discrete graphics in one way or another.

I wish a Tablet Mac would come out. My fiancee wants to get a mac now that her son has one and she sees how great they are. Unfortunately she just upgraded her laptop about 4 months ago to a Tablet PC. I am due for a laptop upgrade and said my next laptop will be a Tablet but instead I'm going to the next MBP that will be coming out. She is considering it as well but doesn't want to leave the Tablet so may end up keeping the Tablet as well. I know for the PC side though sales of Tablets are slow so not sure how well that would do. I would imagine though with a Mac things could be different. I think some type of PDA type of device or something similar to the UMPC would come out, kind of a very portable laptop that could fit in a woman's purse.
My hardest thing is these all in one units. I think a lot of good things go with it, the imac is easy to move from one room of the house to the other for example but it's hard to imagine when I want to upgrade my computer having to give up the display as well. I imagine this is the type of thing though that make macs work so well. On the PC side I'm used to building my own pc's, getting the case, motherboard, drives, etc. but with that comes a lot of headaches. Apple's whole new "black is top of the line" trend is thoroughly idiotic. I literally removed my credit card from my wallet when I read on the event stream that Apple had released an 8gb nano, then replaced it when I read on about the 8gb model being black only. I hate black electronics. I want an aluminum 8gb iPod to match my PowerBook. Is that so much to ask?? Fine, if they want to only allow black for 8gb, but why limit us. Stupid stupid stupid.:mad:

With people putting off for the "next big thing" I wonder how many people will end up buying nothing ;)

What if this rumor is half right: There is a new video streaming device ready to be demoed, but the "one more thing" could be that there is a video iPod also ready, and the movie service works the same way with it as the iTMS, but the video iPod can also stream the videos to your TV. There are limitations, such as battery life, but it could be limited to just being able to stream when the video iPod is connected to a power supply.

Wht the hell not? I don't know a single pro photographer who's laptop isn't crucial to their workflow. Photographers are probably the #1 users of pro-grade laptops and the ones who would most welcome the new hardware and the performance boost it afforded.

Whether you are accused of a crime or just being surveilled and whether you are guilty or innocent is irrelevant. The point is, the information is available for anyone to obtain.

These Senators need to fix the real problems and stop trying to infringe on Constitutional guaranteed free speech. Just because some one doesn't like what is said doesn't mean they don't get to say it.
This app differs in no way from me calling my buddy and informing him that I just drove through an DUI inspection. Should I not be able to do that either?
